Creative Vision Design & Photography:

Hi my name is Seanny and I'm the designer & photographer at Creative Vision, a design & photography boutique located in Orange County. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to get to know me. I graduated from Woodbury University with a degree in Graphic Design and have worked in the Music/Entertainment Industry and Publishing world since 1999. But because I'm a true romantic, my passion was weddings, whether it was designing for them or photographing them.

Design can play an important role in a wedding. It sets the tone of the wedding beginning with the save the dates, to the to the invitations, all the way to the little personalized tag on the favors. Your wedding is all about you, the bride and the groom, and I can design everything to fit your personality and taste. I believe that every little detail is important, and it can make your guest feel how special your day is to you.

My love of photography began a few years ago when I fell in love with the photojournalism used to capture the event. Having been a bride myself, I know how important photography is to the bride and groom. My goal as a photographer is to capture all of the little moments, emotions and details, and to tell the story of the day through photography. I photograph a wedding, the way I would like my own wedding photographed.

Mermaid Under the Sea Birthday Party at the Carlsbad Lagoon, San Diego

    Wednesday, March 4th, 2015

On August 30th we celebrated my baby girl’s First Birthday at the Carlsbad Lagoon, with a Mermaid themed party. We went to the Lagoon earlier this year for another birthday party, and when we saw the location, and the large deck that you get to rent for parties, we knew that this would be the best spot for Zoey’s party. We had such a great time out there and how perfect is it to have a Mermaid party at a Lagoon. I really wanted to get a mermaid that would swim out of the water….but my husband vetoed that idea….I guess that would have been overboard :)

    Freeman Family Photoshoot 2011 {Temecula, California}

    Monday, December 5th, 2011

This year the Freeman family has expanded. It was just last Christmas when little baby Jackson was still just a little peach inside of his mommy’s belly, and now look how big he has grown. Plus he and Addison have a new baby cousin Stella to play with too. We all met up at a horse ranch in Temecula, California for the photoshoot, where Nick’s dad keeps his horses. Even the horses got their pictures taken :) It was more challenging this year with 2 more kids in the mix, but we managed to get some pretty cutie patootie pics….check them out!

Addison is such a big girl now.

Loving the skull knitted hats that Lisa got on etsy.

    Aidan’s Circus Train Party – 1st Birthday!

    Saturday, October 8th, 2011

I still can’t believe a year has past, and my little boy, Aidan, is now 1 years old. It seemed like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital and our whole world had changed.

We decided to celebrate big and throw him a circus party, since I’ve always wanted a circus party, but then I found a train you could rent at trainpartyexpress.com, and it evolved into a Circus Train Party extravaganza!

Of couse as you already know, it all begins with the invitations. It was printed on both sides and even included a train ticket you could tear off. Artwork was from Nitwit Collections (license #33615)

If you are interested in ordering this invitation, contact us at info@invitationparlour.com for more information.

My friend had made me onesies for each month, which was great because then we would remember to take pictures every month for a year. I used the pictures for the invitations and had them at the party as well.

Custom address labels are a must with my invitations & cards….presentation starts with the envelope. As I always say, it’s not necessary…but it surely does look cute!

And here is the centerpiece of the party…the circus treats table, it was loaded with different candies, candy apples, cotton candy and animal cookies. There was also mini cupcakes & a yummy chocolate cake from A Piece of Cake.

Here’s all the details from the treats table. I decided to decorate the cake myself so that the cake would match the party, there was mini bunting flags and a circus train on there, that I cut on my sillouette. The mini cupcakes were bought from Walmart (I was so lucky the colors matched) I bought cute little clear gable boxes and put animal cookies in there and they had labels saying, “Aidan’s Circus Animals” The polka dot background was wrapping paper I found at Paper Source and all the popcorn containers I found at the Dollar Tree store (that place is a like a treasure chest for finding random things you need for parties)

This display was my prize counter for the carnival games we had in our backyard. We had a raffle for bigger prizes, but everyone is a winner at this party and all the kids got to choose from yo-yo’s, clown bouncy balls, train bubbles/whistle and circus ducks.

I found the vintage circus train toy on ebay, and when it arrived, I was so happy to see how big it was, which gave me the idea to fill it with lollipops. We didn’t have a real clown, but the 3′ clown balloon was floating around greeting people. I think the signs were great addition, we had a train stop sign, signs for the games, even a sign for the “snack bar” where guests filled up on hot dogs, pizza and nachos.

Here is the train that started all this party madness. Funny thing is that when I booked it I was afraid it would be like a boring tram ride, but when I saw it and rode on it the first time, I felt like a kid. There was music playing like the rides at Disneyland, and it actually went pretty fast (definitely put your seat belt on). The conductor was wonderful & everyone had an awesome time on it…even the adults :)

I found the cute little clown costume on Zulily. I was so happy when it arrived the day before the party.

    Kyan turns 3!

    Monday, July 4th, 2011

A few weeks ago, my nephew Kyan turned 3! Wow, it’s crazy how time is just speeding past us. I still remember when he was just a few days old and I took my first pictures of him.

We celebrated his birthday at Grandma and Grandpa’s house and this year, his cousin, Aidan got to celebrate with him. It’s nice now that Kyan gets to have a new little buddy to play with, though, Aidan can’t quite play with Kyan yet. But by next year, I think those two will get themselves into all sorts of trouble….well hopefully not too much trouble :)

AAwww….it’s so cute how Kyan filled the big brother role so quickly.

    Photo Safari – Balboa Park

    Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

Look what I found, pictures I took pre-Aidan time, when I got to on photo safari’s. Now it’s just all pictures of Aidan :) Definitely not complaining, he is such a good little model….most of the time. Anyways, thought I would share some of my pics from a B-School field trip last year at Balboa Park. The flowers were so pretty that time of the year. Loving all the color!

Having too much fun with my macro lens, I was following this bee all around.

    Aidan’s First Halloween

    Monday, November 22nd, 2010

Aidan arrived just in time for Halloween this year. Of course I was looking for a costume for him when he was just 6 mo old in my tummy. It first started when I realized that it would be very cute if Aidan dressed up as Tigger, since he was going to be born in the year of the tiger. But when I looked at the costumes online, I realized it would look cuter when he was older. But then I found the hotdog costume and that’s what Aidan ended up as this year. The reason for the hotdog was because that is one of Charlie’s favorite food. At first I wanted to dress up as ketchup and Charlie as mustard…especially since Charlie loves mustard. But in the end we were lucky enough to get Aidan into his costume and he stayed happy enough for us to take the pictures. Funny thing about his costume was, since the infant costume was still much to large for him, we ended up getting the small dog costume instead, and it worked out for the better. Check out his cute costume below.

    Julius turns 1!

    Thursday, August 19th, 2010

On August 8th we celebrated one of my best friend son’s first birthday! I just can’t believe how time flies, I remember when we just had Chelsea’s baby shower last year, and now here we are a year later. It was a great party, complete with great food, a clown and a Winnie the Pooh bounce house. The bounce house looked like fun, too bad, me and tummy couldn’t go inside to check it out :) I spent the day trying to get Julius to warm up to the camera. He was pretty shy, until the end when I was exhausted and he decides to run all over the place and be a social butterfly, that was when I got to get some of the best pictures! Check them out!

Isn’t the cake so cute, it’s from the same place my wedding cake was from, It’s A Piece of Cake.

    Phomphakdy Family Photoshoot

    Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Last Saturday I spent the afternoon with the Phomphakdy family. Justina, the mom, has been my good  friend since high school! I can’t believe the kids are already so big. Navin is already in pre-school, but it feels like just yesterday when I was taking his picture when he was just a few days old. It was raining that Saturday afternoon, which threw all our plans off. We were suppose to go hang out at Balboa Park, but Mother Nature refused to let up, and we ended up at Justina’s brother’s condo. Luckily he has a nice little skylight in the living room, which gave me lovely natural lighting for the shoot. Too bad Briohny wouldn’t stay still in the one area, she was all over the place. We finally were having the rest of the family just move where she went, it was pretty darn funny, even Navin was becoming amused by his little sister. Check out the pics!
