Creative Vision Design & Photography:

Hi my name is Seanny and I'm the designer & photographer at Creative Vision, a design & photography boutique located in Orange County. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to get to know me. I graduated from Woodbury University with a degree in Graphic Design and have worked in the Music/Entertainment Industry and Publishing world since 1999. But because I'm a true romantic, my passion was weddings, whether it was designing for them or photographing them.

Design can play an important role in a wedding. It sets the tone of the wedding beginning with the save the dates, to the to the invitations, all the way to the little personalized tag on the favors. Your wedding is all about you, the bride and the groom, and I can design everything to fit your personality and taste. I believe that every little detail is important, and it can make your guest feel how special your day is to you.

My love of photography began a few years ago when I fell in love with the photojournalism used to capture the event. Having been a bride myself, I know how important photography is to the bride and groom. My goal as a photographer is to capture all of the little moments, emotions and details, and to tell the story of the day through photography. I photograph a wedding, the way I would like my own wedding photographed.

Lisa and Nick – Trash the Dress Session

    Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

A few weeks ago I met up with Lisa and Nick again, for their trash the dress session. It was so much fun!! I’ve never done a trash the dress session before, and I was super excited for my first one. Most brides don’t want to ruin their dress, but Lisa was not messing around when she said she wanted to trash the dress. We started off at the fire station where Nick works, and we got to use the fire truck as our prop…..funness! Then at the park, Lisa decides she wants to climb a tree. So in her skin tight dress and heels, she shimmied up the tree…..quick too…..that was super impressive. Finally we ended our shoot at Newport Beach, where Lisa practically swam in the ocean….I was loving it! All I can say is thank goodness for my 70-200 mm lens, cuz I wasn’t gonna go in that water :) I think the pictures turned out great, and if I was able to fit into my wedding dress again, I would totally do a trash the dress session too. Doris and James – Engaged!! – La Jolla Cove

    Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

On Sunday, I met up with my friends Doris and James and their dog Teji for a little photoshoot at La Jolla Cove. I met Doris 11 years ago. We met when I was living with my friend at the time and he wasn’t home to hang out. Since we were both bored, we ended up talking on the phone then later hanging out ourselves instead and ever since that day we remained friends. Sometimes we won’t see each other for over a year, but whenever we do meet up, we pick up like we’ve always been hanging out, joking and laughing way too much.

I’m so happy for Doris and James that they’ll finally be getting married this summer. Congratulations you two, see you at the wedding!

I like this series of pics….it looks like Teji is thinking…”great they’re at it again.” :)

    4 & 5 months Preggers and It’s a BOY!!

    Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

So I’m a little behind on my tummy pictures. I’m creeping up onto 6 months, and I didn’t even post 4 and 5 months. We are super excited to be having a boy!! Some of the names in the running are Aidan or Aiden (don’t know how I like it spelled yet), Brady, Caden (I know that rhymes with Aidan), Michael Buble Jr., Edward, Jacob and Charlie threw in LaDainian Tomlinson, Optimus Prime and Maximus. Okay so those last few names were a stretch, but you never know right. I’m also still trying to decide on what to do with the baby’s room. All I know is that I think I want it to look more modern than traditional babyish type stuff. But time is flying right by, and the baby will be lucky if the crib gets put together on time….eek. So far the pregnancy has been super good to me. No real morning sickness and everything has been pretty normal. I already feel super big, but I know I’ll only get bigger….sigh. No funny cravings, tho I do love turkey sandwiches on a certain wheat bread with mayonnaise and cucumbers, and potato salad on the side. Of course a piece of chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream always sounds good to me too, but I haven’t caved in on that yet. So here are pics of me and my tummy…stay tuned for more tummy pics soon!

Lanchi & DeGuan’s Wedding – Huntington Beach Hilton Waterfront Hotel

    Friday, June 11th, 2010

On May 29th, I had the pleasure again of second shooting with Pye from Lin and Jirsa Photography. We first started the day at the bride’s house where they did the traditional morning ceremony. In the Chinese and Vietnamese culture the wedding ceremony actually takes place in the morning. The Groom arrives at the bride’s home and there are gifts given to the bride’s family as a symbolic gesture. There is also praying to bless the marriage and honor those who are not with us. Both sides of the family also have representatives to speak for each sides families and the union is formed. However nowadays couples will not only honor the Asian traditions but they also have an American ceremony and that took place at the beautiful Hilton Waterfront Hotel in Huntington Beach. It was my first time meeting Lanchi and De, and they are the sweetest couple. They met in Boston while Lanchi was there getting her college degree. Then unfortunately she had to move all the way back to California. But with commitment and hard work they made the long distance relationship work and now they get too live happily ever after. They are quiet and reserved, but yet fun and silly at the same time. It was a very emotional ceremony and there were some great speeches that night and you could just feel the love that surrounded the couple and how happy everyone was for them. Congratulations Lanchi and De!!

The groom chillin while waiting for the bride to get ready.

A little liquid courage before the ceremony, with the guys.

Beautiful bride waiting to see her groom for the First Look Photos.

Cutest little flower girl….she kept saying sewww (in chinese, which means smile) when she saw a camera.
I just love Harpists at weddings. So romantic :)

Beautiful cake with such a pretty backdrop.
I love how the groom had his speech on his iphone….and I love, love how the bride looks at her husband :)
Oh and check out the wedding teaser video from Film Foto Fusion.

Kat and Brandon’s Wedding – Huntington Beach Hyatt

    Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Last Friday, May 14th, I had the pleasure of second shooting with Pye with Lin and Jirsa Photography at Kat and Brandon’s Persian wedding. It was the first time I’ve been to a Persian ceremony and it was beautiful. They sit at the head of the “Sofreh-ye Aghd” for the ceremony and the table is beautifully decorated with items that represent good luck in the marriage. For the reception, they had Persian dancers who lead the couple into the reception with a candle dance. The reception room was beautifully decorated, the food was delicious persian food, and the music was a mix of American and Persian beats. Everyone danced and had a great time. Check out some of the pictures!

    Engagement/Family Photoshoot with the Freemans

    Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

On Sunday I met up with the Lisa, Nick, Addison, their dog Bella, as well as the grandparents, Karen and Jeff for a engagement/family photoshoot. What is special about this photoshoot was that Lisa and Nick are not just getting married next spring, but they are also joining a family together with Nick’s daughter Addison. So they have tried to incorporate her into all aspects of the wedding. I met up with Lisa a few months ago to help her design all the stationary for her wedding and so far it’s been a blast working with her. Wait till you see the invites I designed for her next year….too much fun!! I’ve heard so much about Nick and Addison for awhile and finally I got to meet them yesterday. We had a great time playing and taking pictures at the Mason Regional Park….well Addison was playing, I was chasing her around with my camera and bribing her with a big ole lollipop. But all that chasing and bribing paid off, and I think I got some great pictures of this cute little family. Check it out and check out the slideshow too!
