Noor was a really unique and beautiful location for a wedding. I loved the bar.
Oh my goodness, I can’t believe another year has flown right by. When they say it kids grow up fast, they weren’t kidding! My little baby boy….not so much a baby anymore has just turned 2 on September 26th and we had a fun Bubble Bash for him.
I was toying around with some different birthday themes. I wanted to do something that I knew Aidan would like and was age appropriate for him but yet fun for everyone at the party of all ages. So I came up with bubbles! Simple and fun. I decided incorporate all aspects of bubbles….the bubbles we play with, bubble baths, and the popping of bubbles. I picked a color scheme and the rest fell into place. Check out all the fun details from the party.
Here are the invites. Even though bubbles are clear I still wanted lots of color, so I designed the invite with colored bubbles. You can order these invitations at: www.invitationparlour.com for matching favor tags, signs, etc, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Back of Invitation
For the dessert table we had a variety of treats that was associated with the word POP. Such as our Popcorn bar, Cake Pops, Tootsie Pops, and Rice Krispies Treats, because they go “Snap, Krackle and Pop” Of course we also had cupcakes and birthday cake, which I got at It’s A Piece A Cake Bakery. They have the best Black Forest Chocolate Cake. I had the baker make the cake in a aqua blue frosting and I added the rubber duck and glass balls I found at Michaels to make it look like bubbles. For the background I cut out various size circles and made the birthday sign with my Silhouette. I also hung a bunch of clear balloons on the ceiling too look like bubbles.
For the favors, I had bubble bath, bubbles, and rubber ducks all packaged into a cute little popcorn box.
Some of the other fun food items that were associated with pop was our popcorn chicken and soda pop. I also made a blue punch that looked like a bath with rubber ducks floating in it. The recipe for the punch is at tidymom.net
So of course for the kid’s activity I had bubbles. We bought a bunch of different bubble wands, and I had a bubble refill station, bubble guns and even a football that creates bubble when thrown. I also had a bunch of inflatable balls in the yard for the kids to throw around.
Aidan loves to dance, so we had the kid pop music station on.
Here’s Aidan with his cousin Kyan.

Saturday, April 14th, we celebrated Jackson’s First Birthday. Lisa and I have been planning this little soiree for quite sometime and finally it was all put together. You’ve probably seen Lisa’s picture quite a few times on the blog, just because I’ve designed everything for her wedding, her birth announcements and now her son’s first birthday party. It’s been quite an honor being a part of this wonderful family’s life. And the best part is that I’ve gained a new friend in Lisa, who loves parties as much as I do
So on with the details from the party….
First off, the invitations. We did a bi-folded 5×7 wide folded invitation, that had pictures of Jackson from throughout the year. I think it’s always fun to incorporate the pictures from the year, just because babies change so much from the day they are born till they turn one.
To order this Sesame Street invitation, or any other custom inviations, contact us at email@example.com or call us at 951-241-0417
Dessert Table. We designed the pennant banner & signs and labels to match the invite, for the various delicious dessert Lisa had. Colette’s Events, designed the cake, chocolate elmo pops & cake pops….it was soooo cute, and delish!!
Lisa ordered a bunch of cute favors from etsy, including the sesame street frames, Elmo & Cookie monster pails, and the Zoe ponytail headbands. She also got the cute “Jackson” street sign there too.
Both Elmo & Cookie Monster came to the party to join in the fun.
Aww, look at that cute little smile.
Jackson really likes birthday cake mmmmm yum, yum, yum!!
Here is Jackson with his dad Nick, who, one is very handy, he made the second “Jackson Street” sign & two, makes the yummiest hamburger sliders!
And here is big sister Addy hanging out with Elmo
Here is Jackson with his mama, Lisa!
And here is my son, Aidan, who was one of the guests, dancing to the music
It was a beautiful and sunny California day on Saturday, January 7th, the perfect wedding day for Abbe and Bryan. They make the cutest and sweetest couple and I enjoyed capturing their day as it unfolded. They made photographing them so easy, because you can truly see how much they love each other in every picture, so not much effort is needed on our part. Check out the pictures from the day and remember to view the slideshow here!
The wedding was at the Bayview Marriott in Newport Beach.
Getting Ready. Make up and hair done by Quinn Nguyen
Here Bryan is waiting for Abbe to come out….he’s so bad…kept wanting to peak. I told him he must be that guy that tries to figure out what’s inside the presents during Christmas
See what I mean by cutest and sweetest couple….doesn’t this picture just make your heart all warm and fuzzy?
Bride is looking gorgeous!!
Some nice flaring going on.
The cute little flower headbands were made by The Icing On Top.
Dancing the night away.
A change in outfit and a little bit more pictures in the lobby.
Congratulations Abbe and Bryan…hope you had a wonderful honeymoon and wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness together!!
Thank you to my best friend & second shooter Kim for joining me that day.
Wedding I photographed with Lin & Jirsa Photography.
Johnny & the groomsman takes shots of Johnny Walker Blue Label….very appropriate.
Angela and Johnny documented the day with polaroids as well, and it was displayed at the reception…..such a cute idea and display. Coordinated by Details Details.
Flowers were gorgeous, they were done by JNS Floral Design
I loved the Kate Spade Shutters Bikes the hotel had for guests.
I love first dance pictures, they are always so sweet.
More details from the wedding.
Last month I got to second shoot again with Pye Jirsa of Lin and Jirsa Photography. The last time I got to work with him was last summer when I was still pregnant, so it’s been awhile. It was nice to work with Pye and shoot weddings together again.
I met up with the groom first at the hotel where they were getting ready. It was fun hanging out with the guys, they are quite funny. One of the groomsman even wanted pictures in the shower….fully clothed though…don’t get any crazy ideas. Later on we all met up at Brand Park/Library. I use to go there when I went to college at Woodbury in Burbank, so I knew the park well. The ceremony took place at the Japanese gardens…I always thought it would be a nice place to have a wedding and now I got to take pictures there, how cool is that. After the Jewish wedding ceremony, everyone headed off to the Ramsey’s at the Club for the reception. This place was a very cool place for a wedding. It was a cozy, classy, elegant and an intimate setting, and because they had the whole club to themselves, everyone had room to spread out between the lobby, bar, patio and ballroom area.
It was a gorgeous day for a wedding and Hilary and Joe looked amazing and together they made a beautiful couple. Congratulations!
Hot Bride!! That was my first thought when I saw her….so pretty.
I love succulents in flowers…such a pretty bouquet!
Love is just written all over their faces….this is why I love weddings so much :)
A few weeks ago, my nephew Kyan turned 3! Wow, it’s crazy how time is just speeding past us. I still remember when he was just a few days old and I took my first pictures of him.
We celebrated his birthday at Grandma and Grandpa’s house and this year, his cousin, Aidan got to celebrate with him. It’s nice now that Kyan gets to have a new little buddy to play with, though, Aidan can’t quite play with Kyan yet. But by next year, I think those two will get themselves into all sorts of trouble….well hopefully not too much trouble

Me and my little man
On August 8th we celebrated one of my best friend son’s first birthday! I just can’t believe how time flies, I remember when we just had Chelsea’s baby shower last year, and now here we are a year later. It was a great party, complete with great food, a clown and a Winnie the Pooh bounce house. The bounce house looked like fun, too bad, me and tummy couldn’t go inside to check it out I spent the day trying to get Julius to warm up to the camera. He was pretty shy, until the end when I was exhausted and he decides to run all over the place and be a social butterfly, that was when I got to get some of the best pictures! Check them out!
Isn’t the cake so cute, it’s from the same place my wedding cake was from, It’s A Piece of Cake.
On Sunday, June 20th I joined the Jones and the Kopald family for a Family day party photoshoot. They were celebrating lots of things that day…so they just called it Family Day. There was of course Fathers Day, a graduation and 2 birthdays….that’s a lot of celebrating. The family was wonderful and I had a great time with all of them, and they even fed me cake in the end, which is a huge big bonus for me and baby Check out some of the fun and silly pictures we ended up getting that day….and click here to view the slideshow.
