Creative Vision Design & Photography:

Hi my name is Seanny and I'm the designer & photographer at Creative Vision, a design & photography boutique located in Orange County. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to get to know me. I graduated from Woodbury University with a degree in Graphic Design and have worked in the Music/Entertainment Industry and Publishing world since 1999. But because I'm a true romantic, my passion was weddings, whether it was designing for them or photographing them.

Design can play an important role in a wedding. It sets the tone of the wedding beginning with the save the dates, to the to the invitations, all the way to the little personalized tag on the favors. Your wedding is all about you, the bride and the groom, and I can design everything to fit your personality and taste. I believe that every little detail is important, and it can make your guest feel how special your day is to you.

My love of photography began a few years ago when I fell in love with the photojournalism used to capture the event. Having been a bride myself, I know how important photography is to the bride and groom. My goal as a photographer is to capture all of the little moments, emotions and details, and to tell the story of the day through photography. I photograph a wedding, the way I would like my own wedding photographed.

    Happy Holidays 2012

    Friday, December 7th, 2012

    As another year whizzes by, I am amazed how this is already Aidan’s 3rd Christmas. It truly is awesome to see how much he has grown. He went from being a helpless little infant, that first Christmas when he was only 3 months old, to a 2 year old toddler than is starting to have almost a whole conversation with you about Christmas lights. As much as I always wish I could just win the lottery and strike it rich, I know how lucky I am in life to have such a great son, a loving husband and wonderful family and friends. I’m lucky that everyone is healthy this year and we get to enjoy another Christmas and New Years together.

    So I would like to pass some of my luck to you and wish everyone a wonderful Holiday with all of your loved ones too!

    Bubble Birthday Party – Aidan turns 2!

    Thursday, October 11th, 2012

    Oh my goodness, I can’t believe another year has flown right by. When they say it kids grow up fast, they weren’t kidding! My little baby boy….not so much a baby anymore has just turned 2 on September 26th and we had a fun Bubble Bash for him.

    I was toying around with some different birthday themes. I wanted to do something that I knew Aidan would like and was age appropriate for him but yet fun for everyone at the party of all ages. So I came up with bubbles! Simple and fun. I decided incorporate all aspects of bubbles….the bubbles we play with, bubble baths, and the popping of bubbles. I picked a color scheme and the rest fell into place. Check out all the fun details from the party.

    Here are the invites. Even though bubbles are clear I still wanted lots of color, so I designed the invite with colored bubbles. You can order these invitations at: www.invitationparlour.com for matching favor tags, signs, etc, contact us at info@invitationparlour.com

    Back of Invitation

    For the dessert table we had a variety of treats that was associated with the word POP. Such as our Popcorn bar, Cake Pops, Tootsie Pops, and Rice Krispies Treats, because they go “Snap, Krackle and Pop” Of course we also had cupcakes and birthday cake, which I got at It’s A Piece A Cake Bakery. They have the best Black Forest Chocolate Cake. I had the baker make the cake in a aqua blue frosting and I added the rubber duck and glass balls I found at Michaels to make it look like bubbles. For the background I cut out various size circles and made the birthday sign with my Silhouette. I also hung a bunch of clear balloons on the ceiling too look like bubbles.

    For the favors, I had bubble bath, bubbles, and rubber ducks all packaged into a cute little popcorn box.

    Some of the other fun food items that were associated with pop was our popcorn chicken and soda pop. I also made a blue punch that looked like a bath with rubber ducks floating in it. The recipe for the punch is at tidymom.net

    So of course for the kid’s activity I had bubbles. We bought a bunch of different bubble wands, and I had a bubble refill station, bubble guns and even a football that creates bubble when thrown. I also had a bunch of inflatable balls in the yard for the kids to throw around.

    Aidan loves to dance, so we had the kid pop music station on.

    Here’s Aidan with his cousin Kyan.

    Freeman Family Photos 2012 – Laguna Beach, CA

    Thursday, September 27th, 2012

    You know almost a year has past if you see the Freeman’s family portraits posted onto my blog :) I have had the greatest pleasure in helping Lisa capture her family memories for the past 4 years. Not only is Lisa a client now, but she is truly one of my greatest friends.

    The first photoshoot was Lisa and Nick’s engagement/first family pictures with Addison. I remember when Addison was just about Jackson’s age at the time. Now look at how big she is already! And Jackson was a just a newborn when we took his first pictures, and now he’s such a little man. We had a great time at the beach, and we have pictures to show for it. Check them out! Click here for more pictures in the slideshow.

    Cute brother and sister moments.

    Mommy’s little boy.

    It’s Daddy’s little monkeys!

    I love the funny face that Jackson is making in this picture.

    Sesame Street Party {Jackson’s 1st Birthday}

    Thursday, May 17th, 2012

    Saturday, April 14th, we celebrated Jackson’s First Birthday. Lisa and I have been planning this little soiree for quite sometime and finally it was all put together. You’ve probably seen Lisa’s picture quite a few times on the blog, just because I’ve designed everything for her wedding, her birth announcements and now her son’s first birthday party. It’s been quite an honor being a part of this wonderful family’s life. And the best part is that I’ve gained a new friend in Lisa, who loves parties as much as I do :)

    So on with the details from the party….

    First off, the invitations. We did a bi-folded 5×7 wide folded invitation, that had pictures of Jackson from throughout the year. I think it’s always fun to incorporate the pictures from the year, just because babies change so much from the day they are born till they turn one.

    To order this Sesame Street invitation, or any other custom inviations, contact us at info@invitationparlour.com or call us at 951-241-0417

    Dessert Table. We designed the pennant banner & signs and labels to match the invite, for the various delicious dessert Lisa had. Colette’s Events, designed the cake, chocolate elmo pops & cake pops….it was soooo cute, and delish!!

    Lisa ordered a bunch of cute favors from etsy, including the sesame street frames, Elmo & Cookie monster pails, and the Zoe ponytail headbands. She also got the cute “Jackson” street sign there too.

    Both Elmo & Cookie Monster came to the party to join in the fun.

    Aww, look at that cute little smile.

    Jackson really likes birthday cake :) mmmmm yum, yum, yum!!

    Here is Jackson with his dad Nick, who, one is very handy, he made the second “Jackson Street” sign & two, makes the yummiest hamburger sliders!

    And here is big sister Addy hanging out with Elmo

    Here is Jackson with his mama, Lisa!

    And here is my son, Aidan, who was one of the guests, dancing to the music :)

    Meet Holden Hess {Newborn Photoshoot}

    Friday, February 10th, 2012

    Meet Holden Hess, he was born on October 5, 2011. His mama, Doris,  is a good friend of mine. I even took her engagement pictures, click here.

    Holden is now about 4 months old now, but I took these pictures when he was about 1 month old when I got to meet the little guy in person. I know, it took me long enough to post these. But he is such a cutie pie, I just had to share!

    He’s probably thinking…”mama, what am I doing in this box?”

    I just love cute little baby feet!

    Choi Family Photoshoot {Tustin, California}

    Thursday, December 15th, 2011

    I got to hang out with this cute little family last Saturday, meet the Choi family….

    To see more pictures check out the slideshow, click here.

    They had just moved into their beautiful home, and were still unpacking. I’m glad that they unpacked the Christmas tree first, it made for a very cute first Christmas picture in their new home :)

    Adri (the mom) wanted to have pictures taken  of the girls in their traditional Hanboks (Korean Dresses), before they outgrew them.  They look so cute!

    The girls loved their lollipops….Rylen wouldn’t let it go!

    After lollipops, we had to let the kids work off the sugar :)

    Blowing Kisses.

    Meet Hailey, the older sister.

    It was funny when Katrina decided to feed Hailey the dirt :)

    Wheee!

    If Katrina looks familiar to you, it’s because she was Aidan’s first playdate…look how big and mobile she is now.

    Freeman Family Photoshoot 2011 {Temecula, California}

    Monday, December 5th, 2011

    This year the Freeman family has expanded. It was just last Christmas when little baby Jackson was still just a little peach inside of his mommy’s belly, and now look how big he has grown. Plus he and Addison have a new baby cousin Stella to play with too. We all met up at a horse ranch in Temecula, California for the photoshoot, where Nick’s dad keeps his horses. Even the horses got their pictures taken :) It was more challenging this year with 2 more kids in the mix, but we managed to get some pretty cutie patootie pics….check them out!

    Addison is such a big girl now.

    Loving the skull knitted hats that Lisa got on etsy.

    The girls.

    The boys.

    The horse smiled for me :)

    Aidan’s Circus Train Party – 1st Birthday!

    Saturday, October 8th, 2011

    I still can’t believe a year has past, and my little boy, Aidan, is now 1 years old. It seemed like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital and our whole world had changed.

    We decided to celebrate big and throw him a circus party, since I’ve always wanted a circus party, but then I found a train you could rent at trainpartyexpress.com, and it evolved into a Circus Train Party extravaganza!

    Of couse as you already know, it all begins with the invitations. It was printed on both sides and even included a train ticket you could tear off. Artwork was from Nitwit Collections (license #33615)

    If you are interested in ordering this invitation, contact us at info@invitationparlour.com for more information.

    My friend had made me onesies for each month, which was great because then we would remember to take pictures every month for a year. I used the pictures for the invitations and had them at the party as well.

    Custom address labels are a must with my invitations & cards….presentation starts with the envelope. As I always say, it’s not necessary…but it surely does look cute!

    And here is the centerpiece of the party…the circus treats table, it was loaded with different candies, candy apples, cotton candy and animal cookies. There was also mini cupcakes & a yummy chocolate cake from A Piece of Cake.

    Here’s all the details from the treats table. I decided to decorate the cake myself so that the cake would match the party, there was mini bunting flags and a circus train on there, that I cut on my sillouette. The mini cupcakes were bought from Walmart (I was so lucky the colors matched) I bought cute little clear gable boxes and put animal cookies in there and they had labels saying, “Aidan’s Circus Animals” The polka dot background was wrapping paper I found at Paper Source and all the popcorn containers I found at the Dollar Tree store (that place is a like a treasure chest for finding random things you need for parties)

    This display was my prize counter for the carnival games we had in our backyard. We had a raffle for bigger prizes, but everyone is a winner at this party and all the kids got to choose from yo-yo’s, clown bouncy balls, train bubbles/whistle and circus ducks.

    I found the vintage circus train toy on ebay, and when it arrived, I was so happy to see how big it was, which gave me the idea to fill it with lollipops. We didn’t have a real clown, but the 3′ clown balloon was floating around greeting people. I think the signs were great addition, we had a train stop sign, signs for the games, even a sign for the “snack bar” where guests filled up on hot dogs, pizza and nachos.

    Here is the train that started all this party madness. Funny thing is that when I booked it I was afraid it would be like a boring tram ride, but when I saw it and rode on it the first time, I felt like a kid. There was music playing like the rides at Disneyland, and it actually went pretty fast (definitely put your seat belt on). The conductor was wonderful & everyone had an awesome time on it…even the adults :)

    I found the cute little clown costume on Zulily. I was so happy when it arrived the day before the party.

    Camacho Family Photoshoot {Laguna Beach}

    Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

    A few weeks ago I met  up with the Camacho family in Laguna Beach for a family photo shoot. Check out the pictures from the day. And remember to check out the slideshow too! Click here for the slideshow.

    Look how cute these girls are….they made my job easy.

    Kaylie is older by a year and definitely takes on the older sister role.

    Sabrina is the goofy one.

    What a beautiful family :)

    What’s a photoshoot without lollipops? Candy is the best bribe in the world.

    Some mommy loving :)

    And some goofy faces with dad.

    Yellow tongues!
