Creative Vision Design & Photography:

Hi my name is Seanny and I'm the designer & photographer at Creative Vision, a design & photography boutique located in Orange County. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to get to know me. I graduated from Woodbury University with a degree in Graphic Design and have worked in the Music/Entertainment Industry and Publishing world since 1999. But because I'm a true romantic, my passion was weddings, whether it was designing for them or photographing them.

Design can play an important role in a wedding. It sets the tone of the wedding beginning with the save the dates, to the to the invitations, all the way to the little personalized tag on the favors. Your wedding is all about you, the bride and the groom, and I can design everything to fit your personality and taste. I believe that every little detail is important, and it can make your guest feel how special your day is to you.

My love of photography began a few years ago when I fell in love with the photojournalism used to capture the event. Having been a bride myself, I know how important photography is to the bride and groom. My goal as a photographer is to capture all of the little moments, emotions and details, and to tell the story of the day through photography. I photograph a wedding, the way I would like my own wedding photographed.

    Happy Holidays 2012

    Friday, December 7th, 2012

As another year whizzes by, I am amazed how this is already Aidan’s 3rd Christmas. It truly is awesome to see how much he has grown. He went from being a helpless little infant, that first Christmas when he was only 3 months old, to a 2 year old toddler than is starting to have almost a whole conversation with you about Christmas lights. As much as I always wish I could just win the lottery and strike it rich, I know how lucky I am in life to have such a great son, a loving husband and wonderful family and friends. I’m lucky that everyone is healthy this year and we get to enjoy another Christmas and New Years together.

So I would like to pass some of my luck to you and wish everyone a wonderful Holiday with all of your loved ones too!

    Photo Safari – Balboa Park

    Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

Look what I found, pictures I took pre-Aidan time, when I got to on photo safari’s. Now it’s just all pictures of Aidan :) Definitely not complaining, he is such a good little model….most of the time. Anyways, thought I would share some of my pics from a B-School field trip last year at Balboa Park. The flowers were so pretty that time of the year. Loving all the color!

Having too much fun with my macro lens, I was following this bee all around.

Road Trip Baby Moon & 6 mo prego

    Thursday, August 12th, 2010

In July, Charlie and I decided to take a week off and go on one last road trip up North before the baby arrives. This time we decided to go to Yosemite, since I’ve never been there before. I always wanted to see the gigantic Sequoia trees and the waterfalls. So that was our first stop. It was beautiful there, and we’ll definitely take a trip back there when the baby is bigger, and by then I’ll actually be able to hike again. Amazing how much huffing and puffing it is when you’re tummy is so huge and you’re carrying it around up trails.

The next day we left Yosemite and drove over to Cupertino where the Apple Mothership was. I know, it’s a little nerdy, but I definitely wanted to check out the apple campus. We basically just went there and checked out the building and I was wishing I could work there…it was nice :) At the store I bought a “Hello, I’m a Mac” shirt and I bought a little one for the baby too. The first shirt I bought him….good choice I thought….sorry Charlie, baby will be a mac baby :)

Afterwards we drove up to San Francisco, and had our clam chowder and fried shrimp at the wharf. It’s amazing how it was the middle of summer and it was still freezing in San Francisco. The next day we spent the morning walking around Union Square and buying cupcakes at Cako Bakery.

We saved the cupcakes for later when we went to Monterey. We got there in time for lunch on the pier, and afterwards we had a cupcake buffet with ice cream….it was delish. It was beautiful in Monterey and Carmel. The next day we took a nice little drive through Pebble Beach and ended the drive in Carmel for lunch.

Next stop after Carmel was San Luis Obispo. This time we actually didn’t stay at the Apple Farm, which is usually our Norm. We ended up staying at the Avila Village Inn. It was about 10 minutes from San Luis Obispo. It’s very peaceful and relaxing there and a nice place to stay for our last night on our roadtrip. That thursday night we went to go check out the San Luis Obispo Farmers Market. It was lots of fun. I love Farmer’s markets, and of course we just ate more that night. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich we had was yummers!

Sadly our trip came to an end. The next day we made our way down back to San Diego. It was really a great trip. We always have fun on the road and visiting all our favorites places up North and eating it up all the way! The next trip we take will be so different, we’ll have another little traveler with us and it’ll be fun to experience a trip with the little guy.

That’s the trunk of a Sequoia tree…’s huge!

    Pebble Beach, the Cypress Tree.

Isn’t it cool how this rock looks like a heart!

Lisa and Nick – Trash the Dress Session

    Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

    A few weeks ago I met up with Lisa and Nick again, for their trash the dress session. It was so much fun!! I’ve never done a trash the dress session before, and I was super excited for my first one. Most brides don’t want to ruin their dress, but Lisa was not messing around when she said she wanted to trash the dress. We started off at the fire station where Nick works, and we got to use the fire truck as our prop…..funness! Then at the park, Lisa decides she wants to climb a tree. So in her skin tight dress and heels, she shimmied up the tree…..quick too…..that was super impressive. Finally we ended our shoot at Newport Beach, where Lisa practically swam in the ocean….I was loving it! All I can say is thank goodness for my 70-200 mm lens, cuz I wasn’t gonna go in that water :) I think the pictures turned out great, and if I was able to fit into my wedding dress again, I would totally do a trash the dress session too.     Just Because Session in Laguna Beach {Lisa & Steve}

    Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Today I got to spend the afternoon with Lisa and Steve who have been married for 2 years already and wanted to get some “Just Because” pictures taken. We hung out in Laguna beach….only in Southern California can we hang out at the beach in the middle of December and not freeze to death. First we roamed around the downtown area, then we enjoyed a little gelato treat (thanks Lisa & Steve…it was yum :) Afterwards we headed to the beach, which was gorgeous…it looked like a painting. ┬áSteve was a good sport to give up his day off on a football Sunday and I think by the end of the session he actually enjoyed it. It was a fun day, thanks Lisa and Steve for letting me hang out with you :) Check out the pics below and the slideshow.

I think this one gets my vote as the favorite of the day.

See what I mean about the beach being gorgeous.

    Just Because Photoshoot

    Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

On Saturday, I did a photoshoot for my friend Pui and her boyfriend Geoff. Pui met Geoff this year, and he has turned her life around, and for the better!! This is the 3rd time that I have hung out with him and I can tell that he truly is a great guy who only wants to make Pui happy. Awwwww. Which makes me super happy for my good friend!! We did a “Just Because” photoshoot at the San Juan Capistrano train station and some photos were taken at a nearby field and we had so much fun. Geoff is a goofy guy, so he kept us laughing….but they were also perfect models, because they were down with anything!! Check out the cute couple! And check out the slideshow.
